Exeggcute is a Grass/Psychic-type Pokémon that closely resembles an egg. These creatures are always encountered in groups of six.

Exeggutor appears to bear a resemblance to an egg, having an oval-shaped body covered in light-pink skin. For whatever reason, this Pokémon always gathers in groups of six, with five surrounding one. The surrounding Exeggcute each have different facial expressions and have some level of cracking on their shells. Usually, one of the Exeggcute in a group is completely cracked open, exposing the gooey innards within.
Given that Exeggcute is also a Psychic-type Pokémon, it is speculated that it forms some kind of collective consciousness, hence they always gather in groups and remain that way their entire lives. In the event that one Exeggcute is seperated from its clutch, the group will become disoriented as it panicks over the loss of one of its own. Their natural predators are Crabrawler and Pidgeotto.
Exeggcute is primarily a Grass-type Pokémon, despite having no obvious plant traits. Pokémon scholars have discovered that Exeggcute carry the genes of various plant species, sewing these seeds across their habitats.
Abilities[]
- Absorb - This ability allows Exeggcute to absorb the genes of another organism and partially replenish its health with the absorbed life essence.
- Leech Seed - Exeggcute scatters seeds that leech the life force from those that touch them.
- Reflect - The combined psychic power of Exeggcute forms a telekinetic barrier to protect the clutch from damage.
- Barrage - The individual Exeggcute take turns in tackling the opponent.
Evolution[]
For Exeggcute to evolve into Exeggcutor, it must gather in a group of six. If a member of the clutch is lost, it cannot evolve until the lost member is replaced. While they usually only evolve when exposed to Leaf Stone, there have been examples of Exeggcute evolving without it.
