The Evil Minions are minor antagonists of the movie Despicable Me 2. They are Gru's Minions who were mutated by the PX-41 serum and are now working for El Macho.
Appearance[]
The Evil Minions are purple in color and have wild, frizzy hair. They also have sharp, pointed teeth and a considerable underbite. Their overalls are black instead of blue.
Personality[]
Evil Minions are completely deranged, animalistic creatures. When idle, they will simply stand around and twitch erratically. When attacking, they are psychotic and bloodthirsty, screaming incoherent gibberish as they charge towards their prey.
Despicable Me 2[]
In the movie, it is revealed that Dr. Nefario (Gru's former assistant) kidnapped several Minions and mutated them with the PX-41 serum, turning them into monstrous mutants capable of destroying everything.
The first Minion to be infected is Tom who he met with Kevin in El Macho's lair and they were sharing bananas and when Tom wanted to do health to the antidote, he injected it and was transformed into a purple Minion to the grace of Kevin who also instantly infects
After many Minions were transformed off-screen by the PX-41 serum and used to destroy everything, when Gru finds El Macho, he realizes that he himself was right all this time and that El Macho was working with Dr. Nefario and they show Kevin now turned into an evil Minion and El Macho demonstrates him by showing Kevin destroying things with his teeth and showing the rest of the other infected Minions to Gru's horror.
Then El Macho frees Kevin who then goes to Gru's house and attacks Margo and Agnes who were playing a board game, infected Kevin reaches them to the laboratory and was about to eat them when Dr. Nefario injected him with an antidote that returns it to normal.
Later Gru along with Dave and Stuart arrive at the Macho's lair where Gru pretends to be a prisoner and Dave and Stuart as purple Minions, when they enter the lair, Dave is distracted by a purple Minion who suddenly accidentally removes his hat. makeup to which he screams in alarm revealing that they were impostors, Gru and his two Minions run up a palm tree and soon run to the roof, but fortunately Dr. Nefario and the orphans save them with their healing jelly for the Minions who return to normal.
At Gru and Lucy's wedding, the only evil Minion who was caught by Gru during the final battle, appears as if nothing and roars at the camera to everyone's surprise.
