Evil Ash is the main antagonist of Army of Darkness, being an evil clone of Ash Williams.
History[]
Shortly after being sent back in time to England in 1300 AD, Ash was in search of the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis. During Ash's journey through the Book of the Dead, he was chased into the forest by the Kandarian Demon. This chase forced Ash to seek refuge in a windmill on the outskirts of the forest. During Ash's stay at the windmill, he thought he saw someone standing watching him as he left. Ash was ready to fight whoever was watching him, and charged at the guy. It actually turned out that Ash saw his reflection and crashed head-on into a mirror. With the mirror glass shattered into pieces, small versions of Ash jumped out of it. One of these Mini-Ash jumped into the normal Ash's mouth and began attacking the big Ash from the inside. To put an end to this, normal Ash drank a pot of boiling water to kill Mini-Ash, but it only made the situation worse. Mini-Ash began to grow from inside Ash's right side, eventually separating completely from Ash. Once the two were separated, Evil Ash began punching his "goody little two-shoes" counterpart until Good Ash shot him in the face with his Shotgun. Evil Ash was then tied to a table, cut down, and buried in front of the windmill.
When Ash found the Necronomicon in the graveyard, he forgot the last of the three magic words he was supposed to quote, and by saying the wrong one, he accidentally awakened the Army of Darkness, also resurrecting Evil Ash. Evil Ash began to gather the resurrected dead and led them in the attack on Castle Kandar, to obtain the Necronomicon and take over the world.
