Electrode

Electrode is an Electric-type Pokémon and the evolved form of Voltorb. It is known as the Ball Pokémon due to its perfectly spherical shape. It is ranked #101 in the National Pokédex.

Pokédex Data[]

Electrode is a perfectly round Pokémon consisting of a white upper hemisphere and a red lower hemisphere. It has two small eyes and a large mouth that is usually grinning. At nearly four feet in size, it is too large to be mistaken for a Poké Ball, though this hasn't prevented Trainers with untrained eyes mistaking it for other items that could have been dropped in the field.

Electrode has earned the nickname "Bomb Ball" due to its ability to suddenly explode. It can blow itself up with even the slightest provocation, but unlike Voltorb, Electrode is capable of controlling its explosions and will often blow up just for fun. It can be found close to electric power stations where it feeds on the excess electricity produced by such facilities. Over-consumption of electricity can also cause Electrode to detonate.

Abilities[]

  • Rollout - Electrode rolls at high speed in order to ram into opponents, gaining speed with each successive hit.
  • Charge - Electrode charges up the electricity in its body to increase the power of its electric attacks.
  • Discharge - Electrode releases the electricity in its body to deliver a powerful shock to its opponents.
  • Explosion - Electrode releases all of the energy in its body in a single devastating blast that destroys everything around it and renders it unconscious in the process.
