Dzéwà, also known as The White God, is a Great Old One who features in the H.P. Lovecraft-inspired Cthulhu Mythos.
Description[]
A plant-based alien monstrosity with an insatiable appetite, Dzéwà manifests as a colossal white sphere with a mouth said to resemble either that of a lamprey or an orchid. It’s main body sprouts an intermittent forest of dazzling green tentacles and human-like hands, and it oozes a fluorescent purple slime.
Origin[]
Dzéwà was spawned on the planet Xiclotl, though by who or what remains unknown. When the Insects from Shaggai migrated from their colony there to Earth, Dzéwà followed close on their heels. How it was able to achieve this feat without the use of the Insects’ dimensional portals has not been revealed.
Appearance[]
- Dzéwà made its only appearance in The Insects from Shaggai (1964), by Ramsey Campbell.
