Drowzee is a bipedal Psychic-type Pokémon. It somewhat resembles a tapir, featuring a short trunk above its mouth, triangular ears and narrow, tired-looking eyes. It has a plump-looking body and legs that end in two toes. Its upper body is yellow while its lower body is brown, save for the toes, which are yellow. It can be found in grasslands and savannas.

Using its psychic abilities, Drowzee is able to feed on the dreams of humans and Pokémon alike. It prefers to dine on the good dreams of children, finding them the most succulent. Feeding on nightmares will make it ill. Drowzee remembers every dream it consumes and will share dreams it has previously consumed with people it trusts, such as a caring Pokémon trainer.

- Pound - Drowzee pummels an opponent by slamming into them with all its physical strength.
- Disable - Drowzee uses its psychic powers to block an opposing Pokémon from using certain abilities.
- Hypnosis - Drowzee emits psychic waves to make its opponent fall asleep.
- Dream Eater - Drowzee feeds on the dreams of its sleeping enemy, causing psychic damage.
