Drow, otherwise known as dark elves, are a magical humanoid race from Dungeons & Dragons. They are an evil-aligned offshoot of the elven race, recognised by their dark skin and white hair. Dwelling within the Underdark, drow are malicious and resentful of their surface-dwelling elvenkin who banished them from their lands in ages long past. Since their exile from the surface, the drow have developed their own matriarchal societies within the Underdark and woven new arcane arts. They have also developed a strong resistance to the magicks wielded by surface-dwellers.
