
The Demon Eye is one of the most common enemies in the indie vide game Terraria
Appearence[]
There are eight types of Demon Eye in the game, however all of them resemble a gigantic floating eyeball with a blue or red iris. They also have three lines of flesh sticking out of their backs. There is a chance that a smaller or larger version of the Demon Eye will appear, no matter what type it is.
Demon Eye[]
The basic Demon Eye, it's the most common variant and one of tha first enemies a new player will encounter. It has a blue iris.
Cataract Eye[]
As it's name suggests, this eye seems to a cataract, a cloudy area in the lens of the eye that leads to decrease in vision.
Sleepy Eye[]
This one has flesh covering it's upper part, resembling the expression a person makes when they feel sleepy.
Dilated Eye[]
The eye's pupil has been expanded, covering it's iris and half of the entire eyeball.
Green Eye[]
This eye is similar to the normal one except the flesh around it is coloured green.
Purple Eye[]
This eye is similar to the normal and green ones axcept the flesh around it is coloured purple and it's iris is coloured red.
Owl Demon Eye[]

Spaceship Demon Eye[]
A Demon Eye wearing a spaceship costume. Spawns only on Haloween
Behaviour[]
Demon Eyes spawn during the nighttime. They are less common than Zombies but still common enough to see a lot of them. Their number increace by a lot during a Blood Moon event or a new moon.
Demon Eyes will attempt to damage the player by flying towards them. If they touch any ground they will bounce off it and take a few seconds before locating the player again and attempting to damage them. They will not go in water even if the player is there and will act as if it was a block, bouncing off it.
Loot[]
When killing any Demon Eye there is a 33% chance it will drop a Lens and a 1% chance it will drop a Black Lens.
Bestiary[]
The bestiary entry for the common Demon Eyes says: "That suspicious feeling of being watched may very well come true in the dark of night, when Cthulhu's minions roam the skies."
The bestiary entry for the Owl and Spaceship Demon Eyes says:"No one knows who dressed these demon eyes up in cute costumes, but the whole process hasn't made them any friendlier."
