Daiyousei (lit. "Big Fairy" or "Greater Fairy") is the name given to the second stage midboss of Touhou 06: Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. A greater fairy, and thus more powerful than regular fairies, Daiyousei is regularly seen with Cirno, attacking the player prior to Cirno in Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, playing hide and seek with her in Strange and Bright Nature Deity, and attending the third Tori no Ichi with her and Letty Whiterock in Wild and Horned Hermit, suggesting the two fairies are rather close friends. Much like Koakuma, her name was given to her by fans, yet is considered semi-official, as it has been used by Jun'ya Ota, one of the members of Team Shanghai Alice, to describe her in interviews.
