Cykranosh, or Saturn as it has become known in more recent times, is a planet which features in the H.P. Lovecraft-inspired Cthulhu Mythos.
Description[]
Cykranosh is a planet similar to Earth, although it is naturally much larger. It’s atmosphere is capable of sustaining human life, and its topography is as varied as that on our planet, ranging from towering mountains to flat deserts, from deep oceans to vast forests. Indeed, there are sights to be seen on Cykranosh which one would never encounter on Earth, such as forests of colossal fungi, lakes full of liquid mercury in place of water, and great fields of immobile yet razor-sharp blue plantoid creatures.
Inhabitants[]
The planet hosts forms of indigenous life, including the plants mentioned above, along with more intelligent organisms such as the humanoid Bhlemphroims, who rule over the Kingdom of Vhlorrh, and the Ydheems.
In addition to the above, several cosmic entities have made their home on Cykranosh. The Great Old Ones Atlach-Nacha and Tsathoggua once resided there, though both have since moved on to pastures new, whilst Tsathoggua's “uncle” Hziulquoigmnzhah remains there to this day.
