The Cure Master is an enemy that appears in the night-time stages of Sonic Unleashed. It is a variant of the Dark Master, an intelligent Dark Gaia minion with a humanoid appearance.
The Cure Master's form consists of purple robes with glowing yellow markings and yellow eyes beneath its hood. The inside of its cloak also glows a neon pink. It carries a glowing cyan staff that allows it to perform curative magic, casting balls of energy that heal the injuries of other Dark Gaia creatures and restoring their vitality. This magic can also be used on any of Dr. Eggman's Badniks that are also involved in battle. Oddly enough, however, a Cure Master is not able to heal itself.
As well as using healing magic, the Cure Master is also adept at stick fighting. If Sonic is close to it, it will attack by swinging its staff. The staff enlarges when swung. Like the other Master variants, the Cure Master will also teleport around the battlefield to avoid being struck.
