Since 2008, Clover has gained popularity, from all around the world. According to JJ Abrams, America needed its own film kaiju monster, other then King Kong and Godzilla. So he created this monster. The monster plays as the main antagonist of the films.
It was originally made from Cloverfield Kishin, a manga comic book online, in the same year as the first film released.
Overview[]
This monster came from another universe, firstly, the baby version of the monster arrives on the Earth from an unknown origin from a Parallel Universe version of Earth, and it most likely landed thousands of years ago, in the Atlantic Ocean close to New York City. It wrecks havoc in New York City, like destroying the Statue of Liberty, Collapsing the Brooklyn Bridge, Exploding the Chrysler Building, walking through the streets of New York City destroying as many buildings as possible, as the monster was awoken by the submarines, it nearly dies after the military nukes and bombs it, although it was able to survive those impacts, it eats the main protagonist later on, in the ending, it would probably be assumed that it is dead, but in the ending, if the words are played in reversed, it will reference that the monster is still alive, it is quite possible it retreated back to the Atlantic Ocean afterward.
It never makes an appearance in the 2016 film, 10 Cloverfield Lane at all, although aliens appear on Earth may reference to the monster, or a different form of the creature.
In the 2018 film, when Earth is suffering from a global crisis in the year 2028, Clover is summoned when the spaceship astronauts use the warp shepard to warp into a Parallel universe, this is where Clover, and the other monsters are summoned on Earth from that portal in the real universe, in this Parallel universe, we see the Atlantic Ocean with oil rigs, with possibly the Cloverfield Monster being glimpsed and probably even seen physically in it. Later in the film, after being mentioned indirectly several times, its shadow can be seen in the dark background when Michael Hamilton walks in the dark streets after stopping his car in the darkness of the mist, it appears to be roaring, and walking across, although it is pretty faint, and can be hard to see for viewers, then after a little girl Molly is rescued from Michael Hamilton, red lights flash, and explosions and loud sounds can be heard outside in the background, shaking the area, the monster can be heard faintly screeching in the background, although this could most likely be a building collapsing due to the monster's foot stepping near it as it is a large mountain sized monster, or it could probably just be some loud screeching sounds created by some explosions caused in the city, either way, it frightens Michael Hamilton and Molly inside the basement, at the end of the film, after Michael Hamilton demanded several times in harsh warnings to not come back to Earth in the middle of the ongoing situation, the capsule enters the Earth's atmosphere, into the cloudy dark mist, and immediately the monster comes up roaring from the clouds, as a larger creature, as it roars again the screen cuts black, leaving a cliffhanger whether what will happen next.
In chronological order, although not directly in exact appearance, the Cloverfield monster appears in the 2018 film Pacific Rim uprising, it is one of the many monsters shown on a screen mentioning it as an easter egg, and it was said to have came from a Kaiju Realm, and this realm may be the Parallel universe it was born from.

Clover comes up roaring from the clouds
Clover appears as a gigantic monster, with long arms and large hands with claws on them, his arms always touch the ground, he has legs that are bent to the back side of his body, and large feet with 2 toes which are clawed feet. He's gained much darker greyish skin, with browner color. His eyes are almost the same color as his skin too. He appears to be taller then Mount Everest in perspective, the height of this monster is unknown, although it's theorized he is 8851 meters, in foot 29,038 feet in height.
Origin[]
Clover may have came from the Atlantic Ocean. As some submarines awoken him and he attacked New York City, he was very resistant to great human weaponry, as well as cope from heavy gun firing. He also has extremely thick skin to thrive through high temperature and high pressure environments. JJ Abrams said that the monster was apparently a baby, he was scared, and was looking for his parents, only to been killed by the United states army and airforce, with their bombs. He also said the monster has been down in the ocean for thousands of years, until it was awoken by submarines. Clover could have also came from a different dimension, as he is one of the monsters to live in a different universe. Clover's adult form may be his mom or dad, or his own adult form, as seen in the ending of the first film, people can be heard saying "Help Us", but if played in reversed, it will say "It's still alive". Hinting that the monster isn't actually dead.
History[]
Cloverfield: 2008[]
He first appears attacking New York as he rips the statue of liberty's head off. As about to eat it, it wasn't editable, so he threw it to New York City, causing panic. He began to rampage the entire city, causing chaos and mayhem, as well as producing dog-sized human scale parasites that were also causing chaos. People were panicking everywhere. The USA army released it's highly explosive bombs to kill the creature, helicopters were rescuing the survivors to bring them to shelters. However one helicopter was taken down as the Cloverfield monster leaped from the ash and bitten it. It's last appearance was when Hud and his friends were escaping, it jumped near Hud as he grabbed the camera. Leaving clover to eat him up. In the ending, a satellite can be seen falling in the horizon, but if the movie keeps playing, words can be heard: "Help us". If played in reversed it will say. "It's still alive". Hinting that the monster wasn't actually killed, and is still alive.
10 Cloverfield Lane: 2016[]
Clover does not make an appearance in this film, however alien beings possibly related to the Cloverfield monster made an appearance. As well as a giant living mechanical alien ship, as it almost eats a woman named Michelle, she throws a torch at it's eye, and the alien ship exploded. However in the ending of this film, another alien ship appears, which looked bigger. Clover is possibly the alien ship, but this is very unlikely.
The Cloverfield Paradox: 2018[]
Clover re-appears in this film, during the part where Michael Hamilton wakes up on earth in the future, as Earth is suffering from a global energy crisis. He drives near a destroyed building, he witnesses a giant monster in the shadow, which is the Cloverfield monster. When Michael got closer, he heard a girl screaming for help, her name was Molly, so he brought her to an underground shelter from a friend. Later in the film, when Michael was making a call on his phone, he heard a strange loud sound, the ambient background turned red, everything began shaking, Michael held Molly as loud roaring and growling was heard with some explosions, then the shaking stopped and the red ambient was gone. This was again, clover. In the ending of the film, when Michael demanded his wife not to come back to earth in the ongoing situation, it was too late. The capsule re-enters earth atmosphere and lands in the cloud, a few seconds later, Clover comes up roaring angrily, then he roars again as the screen cuts black. Leaving his shrieking to echo before the credits roll.
Cloverfield Movie 4:[]
TBA
Personality:[]
The Cloverfield Monster doesn't actually have a personality of it's own, however, as he can't actually speak, or communicate with dialogue, however, his actions show his personality. As he seems to destroy and wreck havoc, and he seems to enjoy feasting on his food. However clover will not respect any human who attacks him with their great firing weaponary, and does not like being attacked by humans at all. However displaying as hostile, he may be only scared, as he is a baby, separated from his parents from different dimensions as a theory by fans. He also does not hesitate to eat his victims, such as Hud.
In the Cloverfield Paradox film, it is shown that he usually roams around not knowing humans are around to attack him in their own way. As shown in another part of the film, he also possibly likes to be capable of causing large and loud shaking. As seen in the ending of the film, it is shown he can be easily agitated, as he is shrieking and roaring above the clouds, in anger possibly, as he is capable of creating loud and large aggressive roars. It is most likely because the splash from the astronauts from the spaceship capsule landing Earth was loud enough to alert or wake him up.
