Chansey is a Normal-type Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region. It is labelled as #113 in the National Pokédex, although it was later discovered to be the evolved form of another Pokémon, Happiny. It is known as the Egg Pokémon due to its ovoid shape and its tendency to carry eggs around with it.

Chansey is an egg-shaped, pink creature with three tendrils on either side of its head, small eyes, a short tail, and flippers in place of arms. It walks about on flat, toeless feet. On its front is a pouch which it uses to carry around an egg.
Chansey is an all-female species of Pokémon with no male counterpart, though it lays an egg several times a day. These eggs are highly nutritious and Chansey are known to share them with humans and other Pokémon. While Chansey produce multiple eggs a day, it is unknown how, or how often, they produce fertilized eggs from which their young will hatch. What is known is that there is such a high demand for Chansey eggs that they are over-harvested, resulting in a short number of Chansey in the wild.
Chansey is among the most benevolent and kind-hearted of Pokémon. It is extremely friendly and caring, so much so that Pokémon medical centres around the world recruit Chansey as nursing staff. In the wild, Chansey will help weak or injured Pokémon by offering them their highly nutritious eggs. Chansey that are treated with love and care by Trainers produce the most delicious eggs. It is said that Trainers with a Chansey in their party are blessed with good luck.

- Soft-Boiled - Chansey consumes its own egg or offers it to an ally. Chansey eggs are highly nutritious and can quickly restore a Pokémon's vitality.
- Pound - Chansey strikes an opponent with its arm.
- Copycat - Chansey mimicks the last move that was used in battle, whether that move was from the opponent or an ally.
- Helping Hand - Chansey emboldens its allies, encouraging them to use their full strength in battle.
Evolution[]
Chansey evolves into Blissey when it has developed a strong bond with its Trainer. It is unknown how they evolve in the wild.
