Gremlins

Gremlins are a type of goblin that have a mysterious past, though in general they are believed to originate from stories told by soldiers during wartime around the First and Second World Wars; Gremlins were envisioned as malicious creatures that often caused trouble with machinery, pilots would often blame malfunctions or unexpected crashes on Gremlins and as time went on this myth grew stronger and in modern lore Gremlins are depicted as small monsters prone to destroying machines out of spite or sheer fun, while originally sprite-like in appearance modern takes tend to be inspired by the highly popular movie, Gremlins.
