Familiars

Magical spirits that commonly manifests itself as an animal in order to protect a mage or a witch and assist that person in their magic. Familiars most commonly appear to mages, wizards, warlocks and witches, but in some extremely rare cases can also appear to other creatures, such as a faerie. They can also be summoned through a ritual.
