Demons

Demons are evil spirits and have appeared in almost every culture for many centuries, though the term would become heavily merged with Devils in later years as they became envisioned as degenerated fallen angels. In pop-culture, demons retain their original variety and are more depicted as extra-dimensional monsters with vast magical power, often inhabiting extremely hostile realms mortals would consider "Hell". They often corrupt, possess, brainwash or destroy the innocence of others.

Demons are often depicted as chaotic, evil and dangerous beings that seek to ruin the mortal world, though some media tries to diversify them and thus examples of neutral or even heroic demons are known, though they are much rarer than the traditional evil demon of legend.
