Campe, also known as The Nymph of Tartarus, was a mighty she-dragon whose origins lie in Greek Mythology.

Description[]

An enormous being with the head and upper torso of a divinely beautiful maiden, Campe had a set of great black pinions which sprouted from her back, the powerful lower body of a great drake, and a scorpion's tail, which was filled with a deadly venom. In addition, her fingernails were long obsidian talons, and her waist was studded with fifty heads, each one that of a dangerous animal.

History[]

When the most ambitious of the Titans, Cronus, imprisoned the Hecatoncheires and Cyclopes in the Pit of Tartarus after overthrowing his father Uranus, he tasked the fearsome Campe to be their warden in order to make certain they did not escape. However, when Zeus led the Olympian gods in his war against Cronus, he found himself in need of allies and so attacked Campe, killing the beast and freeing the imprisoned giants who would go on to help ensure his victory.
