Blue Rhapsody

The Blue Rhapsody is a type of Emblem Heartless that appears as a recurring enemy in the Kingdom Hearts video games. It is one of several "Mage"-type Heartless that specifies in a particular magical element, in the Blue Rhapsody's case, ice.

Appearing across multiple worlds, the Blue Rhapsody is a small, cone-shaped enemy that uses the power of ice in battle. It hovers about in the air, darting away from enemy attacks and counter-attacking by shooting small blasts of ice at its foes.

Blue Rhapsodies are encountered early on in the games they appear in, posing a clear threat at first but merely becoming a nuisance over time as the player reaches higher levels. They are physically weak and cannot withstand much punishment from regular attacks. They are also weak against most magical attacks, except for their own element of ice which will heal them.

Trivia

• All of the "Mage" Heartless appear to be visually based on the classic Black Mage character from the original Final Fantasy game. The Blue Rhapsody bears the greatest resemblance as its blue colouring matches that of the Black Mage's robes.
