Blood Crawlers are spider enemies that exist in the video game Terraria. They were added in the 1.2 update.
Appearence[]
The Blood Crawler is a spider enemy like the Wall Creeper or the Black Recluse but with a different colour pallet to mach the colours of the Crimson.
Spawning[]
Blood Crawlers spawn at the Underground and Surface Crimson however they are more likely to be found underground.
Abilities[]
As a spider, the Blood Crawler has two AIs. The first one is for when there are no walls behind creature. Then it behaves like a regular enemy attempting to hit the player by running and jumping into them. The second one activates when there is a wall behind it. In that case it will begin to move freely on the wall without needing to touch the ground.
Loot[]
When killed, the Blood Crawler will drop 1 silver and 30 copper coins and will also have a 33.33% chance to drop a Vertebra.
Bestiary[]
The bestiary entry for the Blood Crawler says: "Most spiders operate independently, but ones touched by the Crimson hive coordinate together to consume life."
