Cabal template Midian is where the monsters live

This article contains information regarding the creatures which are part of Monster Wiki's Tribes of the Moon project, from Clive Barker's novel Cabal, the movie adaptation Nightbreed, and its spin-off comic book series.

Beloit Motto is a character who appeared in Clive Barker's 1990 fantasy-horror movie Nightbreed.

Description[]

An enormous, overweight humanoid with a deep, booming voice, Beloit has a strangely mottled skin, satyr-like goat legs and a long tail similar to that of a rat. In addition, he possesses an odd, carapace like growth which circles his neck and extends down his back. He prefers to dress in rags, has a penchant for wearing long iron chains, and walks with the aid of a heavy wooden cane.

History[]

Over the course of a long life, Beloit Motto (pronounced Bel-oy Mo-toe) has killed fourteen times over the mispronunciation of his name. Wishing to be remembered for his astonishing vocal repertoire, the sad truth is that his vicious nature will be recalled by those who met him long after any memories of his musical performances have been forgotten. Beloit, however, makes no apologies for his hair-trigger temper, living his life in the fashion of the grandest of operas, where every tiny event is magnified into a drama of world-shattering significance. As Beloit tells it, "I would die only for music or my name."

What became of Beloit Motto after the Sons of the Free enacted their genocidal assault on Midian is unknown, although his obesity and slowness of movement may indicate that he died at the hands of the humans.
