Bellsprout is a small Grass-type Pokémon of the Flycatcher Pokémon family. Easily recognised by its thin body stalk and bulbous head, this Pokémon can be found in almost any grassy or forested area.
Pokédex Data[]
Bellsprout resembles a small flowering plant with a thin stalk for a body, two leaves as its "arms" and two leg-like roots which it can walk with. It has a yellow bell-shaped head with a circular mouth surrounded by pink lips and a pair of tiny black eyes.
Despite its puny and awkward appearance, Bellsprout can be remarkably agile when hunting prey in the wild. Its thin body is very flexible, allowing it to evade attacks with ease and quickly move in for a counter-attack. It feeds on insects and rapidly digests them with the acidic fluid within its mouth. It plants its feet into the ground to absorb water, though it cannot move while in this state.
Abilities[]
- Growth - Bellsprout absorbs nutrients from the ground to increase its Special Attack stat.
- Acid - Bellsprout can spit highly corrosive fluids from its mouth which is capable of eroding iron.
- Vine Whip - Bellsprout uses its roots to kick its opponent.
- Sweet Scent - Bellsprout releases a sweet-smelling secretion to lure insects into its mouth. It also uses this in battle to stupefy its opponent so they will be less likely to avoid incoming attacks.
Evolution Edit[]
Bellsprout evolves into Weepinbell at Level 21.
