Beelzebub is one of the supporting characters in Slime Taoshite 300 nen. She is the First Minister of Agriculture of the Demon Kingdom, as well as Lord of the Flies as her name suggests. Initially beginning as a rival towards Azusa Aizawa, the main protagonist, she later bacem her ally after the former healed her.
Background[]
Before the main events of the story, Beelzebub served as a civil servant for 1,500 years. Her dedication eventually earned her a promotion to the role of Minister of Agriculture, a position granted by Provat Pecora Allières.
Beelzebub is first brought up when Halkara tells Azusa that she’s being chased from her village by the demon. Initially, it seems that Beelzebub is out for revenge because she collapsed after consuming Halkara’s Nutri-Spirits. However, this turns out to be a misunderstanding. Once Azusa’s barrier subdues Beelzebub, the truth comes out: she had actually become dependent on the Nutri-Spirits for energy and wanted a steady supply. Her collapse wasn’t due to poisoning, but rather from exhaustion caused by overwork after taking the supplement.
Appearance[]
As a demon, Beelzebub takes on the appearance of an extraordinarily beautiful woman with an elegant yet curvy figure and olive-toned skin. Her hair is long and wavy, falling to her waist—purple in the original version and white in the anime—with straight-cut bangs. Her eyes are a striking shade of purple (depicted as red in the anime). Atop her head are two dark grey horns with a teal interior that curve upward like a crown.
Her attire is both luxurious and revealing. She wears a white shift beneath a deep wine-colored corset-style vest, paired with a loosely fitted belt resting at her hips. Her bottom garment alternates between a black miniskirt with high slits or a loincloth-style piece. Her legs are adorned with thigh-high stockings with subtle patterns near the top, layered with black and gold-trimmed armor pieces—poleyns and greaves—with white fur cuffs and matching high-heeled boots. Her arms follow a similar armored theme, with long gloves, elbow guards, and vambraces, also trimmed with fur.
Completing her outfit is a dramatic black cape with a wine-red lining, fastened at the neck with two flowing ribbons. As an accessory, she often carries a matching hand fan with a fluffy white fringe, which she usually stores between her breasts.
True to her title as the Lord of Flies, Beelzebub also possesses the ability to transform into a housefly.
Personality[]
Despite her seemingly aloof and sometimes indifferent demeanor, Beelzebub is, at heart, a diligent and kind individual who’s always willing to lend a hand—though she usually expects something in return. In Azusa’s case, that “payment” often comes in the form of allowing her to spoil Falfa and Shalsha, usually by giving them gifts tailored to their hobbies or tastes.
When it comes to her work, Beelzebub is calm, focused, and incredibly efficient, capable of working nonstop with precision and speed. Watching her go about her tasks can actually become quite dull due to how methodical and unchanging she is. She holds her subordinates, Fatla and Vania, to the same high standards of professionalism and speed. However, Vania’s scatterbrained nature tends to clash with this, frequently earning her Beelzebub’s stern corrections.
