The Beast of the Land Between the Lakes is a werewolf- or Dogman-like cryptid rumoured to live in the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area Park.
Description[]
Said to be a vicious half-man, half-wolf creature standing over seven feet tall, bulging with muscle, with inch-long claws and eyes which glow a fiery red, the Beast of the Land Between the Lakes has the arms and torso of a human and the digitigrade legs and head of a great canine.
History[]
The Land Between the Lakes is a vast parkland of nearly seven hundred square kilometres of wilderness and campsites which straddles the border between Kentucky and Tennessee. The Beast has reportedly been sighted there since before the first white settlers came to North America, with some stories suggesting that it may in fact be a Skinwalker.
Whilst there are vague references to stories told by Native Americans hundreds of years ago, the Beast has only really gained widespread infamy in more recent years. The most notorious of these modern sightings involves a family of four who were found slaughtered by the Beast in a camper van in the park. The father had apparently gone outside to investigate a noise when he had been attacked and torn to pieces, before the Beast moved into the motor home and ripped the mother and son apart. The body of the young daughter was found, partially eaten, lodged in a tree some distance away.

Bunkers[]
Another aspect of note regarding the Land Between the Lakes are the military-style bunkers which some investigators have reported stumbling across in the more remote sections of the park. Some claim that these bunkers were constructed by the army during an operation to capture, or at least destroy, the Beast. Whether there is any truth to these tales is for the reader to decide for themselves.
