Bast, also known as Bastet, The Goddess of Cats, or Pasht, is one of the Elder Gods, a group of celestial beings which feature in the H.P. Lovecraft-inspired Cthulhu Mythos.
Description[]
Little is known of Bast save for her appearance: that of a humanoid female with the head of a terrestrial cat, sometimes depicted as swathed in bandages akin to those used in the embalming of a mummy. She was worshiped as a goddess by the ancient Egyptians, and is believed to have a cult of mortal followers residing in the Cornwall area of southern England in the modern day.
