Baby Dodongos are infantile Dodongos that appear as enemies in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Encountered in Dodongo's Cavern, these neonatal creatures are serpentine in appearance; their legs do not grow until they reach maturity. While they have no limbs aside from a tail, Baby Dodongos can still be quite ferocious and can burrow through the ground very quickly. They will move in swarms and attack Link all at once, tunneling beneath the ground and erupting around Link to lunge at him. They are very weak and be killed easily without too much hassle, except that they also explode upon death. If Link has no bombs, he can use a Baby Dodongo's death explosion to blast through cracked walls.
