Arcanine is a Fire-type Pokémon and the evolved form of Growlithe. Its majestic beauty and presence have earned it the category as the Legendary Pokémon. Of course, Arcanine do not fall under the true Legendary classification as they are a fairly common sight in many areas whereas true Legendary Pokémon are ultra-rare, near mythological creatures.

Arcanine has an orange coat covered with jagged black stripes. It sports a wild mane of cream-colored fur on its head as well as down its belly, covering its tail and also tufts of cream fur around its ankles.
Arcanine is a fiercely brave and loyal Pokémon. It is capable of running 6,200 miles in 24 hours with a speed and grace reminiscent of flight. Arcanine has long been admired for its beauty and speed, and anyone who hears its bark will grovel before it. The source of its power is a flame blazing wildly inside its body. It is said to make its home inside active volcanoes and hides food in its mane for its young.
Hisuian form[]
The Hisuain form of Arcanine is a dual Fire/Rock type Pokémon. Its fur is now dark orange rather than a lighter shade of orange. Its mane, tail, and leg fur are dark grey to mimic volcanic plumes. Three horns stick out of Arcanine's head.
In the Hisuian region, Arcanine is often seen inhabiting volcanic areas. Its diet consists of minerals such as rock and soil; constant consumption of such minerals is vital to maintain Arcanine's fur. Although seemingly bulky and slow paced, Hisuian Arcanine is surprisingly agile; it will use its own agility to confuse opponents before finishing them off with powerful fire-cloaked bites.
