Angel of Death (A Quiet Place)

The Death Angels are predatory creatures that act as the main antagonists of the sci-fi/drama horror film A Quiet Place and its 2021 sequel. They are a hostile race of aliens who came to Earth via a meteorite and since then they began to kill almost all life on Earth.

Description

The Angels of Death are gaunt, vaguely humanoid creatures whose entire bodies are covered by many plates of chitinous armor. They appear to have arms with prehensile fingers, but are only seen using their limbs for locomotion. They hunt by sound and are completely blind. They have sensitive plates that line the front of their faces that can be extended and contracted to help them gauge the direction where sound is coming from. The back of the head is capable of unfolding into a massive eardrum-like organ, further enhancing their hearing to detect even subtle changes in sound, but in doing so it also leaves the underside of the armor exposed, making them vulnerable.

It is debated whether they are smart, as their only goal seems to be hunting for prey and they are never seen communicating with each other. However, these creatures are very intelligent when it comes to hunting, since they have been seen inside buildings that they cannot enter without opening a type of door, and they have the mental capacity to adhere to an object (such as a ship) to get to a certain place. They are rarely seen eating humans. It has also been seen that they can easily pass through metal, steel, and other hard materials to reach their target.
