Annabelle is the cursed doll and the main antagonist and murderer of the eponymous film series.

Origin[]

1970. John and Mia Form are expecting her first daughter, Mia is a doll lover, so her husband gives her the doll she has always been looking for. One night while they sleep, Mia hears noises coming from the house of her neighbor: the Higgins.

After seeing what happens, John discovers that they have been murdered, luckily they are about to run when two young men (a man and a woman) try to kill them until the police arrive at their house and kill the aggressor, but not before stabbing Mia, while the other manages to commit suicide while holding the doll in her arms and the news confirms that one of the assailants was Annabelle Higgins, the missing daughter of her neighbors and that she had apparently joined a satanic community.

Despite her serious injuries, Mia gives birth to Lea, a healthy girl, however she asks her husband to get rid of her doll after suffering strange phenomena.

Possession[]

So determined to start a new life, they go to an apartment in Pasadena where the woman discovers a new "surprise": the doll that her husband threw into the container reappears in one of the moving boxes and although stunned by the strangeness of the subject, this places it next to the others. From that day on they will experience several paranormal events that threaten both the integrity of the baby and the couple. The Detective, who was investigating the Higgins murderers, tells both of them the history of the cult to which they were dedicated to offer them a soul.

Next, Father Pérez, who offers to take the doll to the church believing that the spirit that dwells within it will not have the same power within the church, but far from the truth, is attacked by an evil force that takes him directly to the hospital, on the other hand, the doll mysteriously disappears. Oblivious to the rest, Evelyn explains to Mia her tragic story about how she tried to commit suicide by feeling guilty for the death of her daughter, although she clarifies that she often hears her voice telling her that "it is not yet the hour of it

Reverend Pérez, for his part, warns John that his family is in danger and tries to contact Mia, however the evil presence of Annabelle interferes on the telephone line and they are unable to communicate, at the same time another incident occurs about him. spirit: Evelyn is expelled from the apartment and begins to harass Mia, who to make matters worse Annabelle "snatches" her daughter but not her soul. Finally John and Evelyn manage to force the door and prevent Mia from jumping out the window, aborting the deal, however Evelyn takes the doll and jumps in her place, knowing she can atone for her guilt for the death of her daughter. With her death, Lea returns safely to the arms of her mother, while they see the woman's body without the doll next to her from her floor.

Epilogue[]

Half a year later, the Forms move back in and say goodbye to Father Pérez. On the other hand, a woman is looking for the perfect gift for her daughter who is studying nursing. After seeing Annabelle doll on the shelf, she buys it from one of the two students at the beginning of the film.
