The Alien Beast was a creature which appeared in the 2012 fantasy-horror movie The Cabin in the Woods.
Description[]
A monstrosity which bore several similarities to the Facehugger life-cycle stage of the Xenomorphs from the Alien franchise, the Alien Beast was possessed of four toothy “jaws” which it could open in the manner of insect mandibles to increase its bite radius. It had eyes which projected on short stalks from the sides of its head, and had a relatively small body in comparison to its head. When shot, it sprayed a gout of acidic yellow ichor from the wound.
During the events of the System Purge, the Alien Beast was released along with the other monsters to run riot in The Facility. It killed at least one security guard before the Ancient Ones arose.
The Alien Beast was summoned through interaction with a small ceramic egg-like sculpture in the basement, although the exact method of its usage is uncertain.
