The Albedo are the final variant of the Lost to be encountered in The Evil Within 2, appearing in the game's last chapter. These creatures were created by Myra Castellanos in the Limbo region of Union.
Appearance[]
Albedo look much like regular Lost in that they appear human with various wounds and lesions across their bodies. Their forms are also covered from head to toe in a white substance known as "psychoplasm", which they are made of. This substance has hardened and cracked, making the Albedo appear like worn scultures. Numerous fissures and cracks are visible across their bodies and many even have additional hands growing out of various places.
Behaviour[]
While idle, Albedo are completely inanimate, remaining as lifeless as statues. Whether due to the player's proximity or Myra's psychic command, they may start moving and attack. It takes a moment for them to become fully mobile as they shift poses to crack the dried psychoplasm keeping them in place.
Once fully mobile, Albedo behave much like regular Lost, charging at Sebastian in order to beat and maul him to death. They are somewhat faster and more ferocious than typical Lost, able to deal more damage in a shorter amount of time.
Combat[]
The Albedo can be killed in almost any way a regular Lost can, though they are not so vulnerable to flames and can shrug off fire quite easily. Assault rifle fire or a fully upgraded shotgun can stagger them and they are just as susceptible to stealth kills as standard Lost. When killed, Albedo will collapse and fall to pieces as their bodies completely petrify.
