Alakazam is a Psychic-type Pokémon produced when Kadabra evolves after being traded to another Trainer. It is the final evolution in the Psi Pokémon family.
Pokédex Data[]
Like its previous form, Alakazam has a segmented body, pointed ears and moustache-like whiskers. Male Alakazam have longer moustaches than females. Alakazam also loses its tail following evolution and carries a spoon in both hands.
Alakazam possesses tremendous power and can wield a wide assortment of psychic abilities. It is also regarded as one of the most intelligent breeds of Pokémon, possessing an IQ of 5000. Its brains cells constantly multiply until its death and, as a result, it has a perfect memory. It can remember every moment of its life from its birth as an Abra.
Abilities[]
- Kinesis - Using its spoons as amplifiers, Alakazam's telekinesis redirects its foe's attacks, reducing the opponent's accuracy.
- Psychic - A powerful blast of telekinetic energy that inflicts heavy damage.
- Reflect - A barrier that reduces the impact of physical attacks.
- Recover - Alakazam uses this mystical ability to heal its wounds.
Evolution[]

In Pokémon Alpha Sapphire/Omega Ruby, Alakazam can be transformed into Mega Alakazam using the Mega Stone Alakazite. In Mega form, its head takes on a distinct star shape and its whiskers grow into a long, sagely white beard. Its forearms expand into gaping sleeves like those of a monk's robes and a bright red jewel appears upon its forehead. Floating above Mega Alakazam's head are five silver spoons that amplify its incredible psychic power.
The Mega Evolution is temporary and only occurs during battle if the Trainer is carrying a Mega Ring and the Alakazam holds the corresponding Mega Stone.
