Aerico are demons of disease and misfortune found in Greek folklore. They are part of a near-universal trend of plague bringing demons and spirits, which the ancient world viewed as malevolent supernatural afflictions - Aerico were thus just one of many such creatures that many cultures believed worked against humanity and spread contagion.
Aerico are quite rare outside of their native folklore, not often depicted in other media.
Hstory[]
Aerico were believed to be demons of disease from Greek folklore, often said to dwell in the air they would be blamed for spreading disease of all kinds, especially pestilence that could rapidly spread, such as the plague and malaria - while often considered an invisible, malignant presence, they could sometimes take human form and, like many bringers of plague, were quite feared.
